Friends of distorted triads, stubborn riffs, boogie, shuffle, blues, welcome! In February 2024, the band released its debut album, entitled “Don’t Belong”, through the French record label M&O Music, and released two music videos for singles from that album.

The band has just released their second album, called Time to Go, a more elaborate and mature work e The music video for Do You Remember, a single from this album, is available on YouTube. The band was formed in 2022, in Belo Horizonte/MG/Brazil and as the name suggests, its sound is intrinsically linked to the instrument called cigar box guitar, a not very distant ancestor of the electric guitar. 

The band was formed by friends with the goal of keeping the flame of blues-rock alive in a modern yet organic incarnation.Their songwriting is hypnotic, built around riffs that transcend the classic blues framework, yet always show absolute respect for the spirit of the blues from its origins.

The single A Lot Of Times is a prime example of Cigar Box Band’s firepower. This raw blues-rock track was recorded with a secret weapon: a cigar box guitar built into a shovel, producing a sound reminiscent of a chainsaw. The lyrics are laments and spiritual reflections on unrequited passions. We turn our rocking chair toward the setting sun and let out our lament for the challenges of this life

Amigos de tríades distorcidas, riffs teimosos, boogie, shuffle, blues, sejam bem-vindos! Em fevereiro de 2024, a banda lançou seu álbum de estreia, intitulado Don’t Belong, pela gravadora francesa M&O Music, e lançou dois videoclipes para singles desse álbum.

A banda acaba de lançar seu segundo álbum, chamado Time to Go, um trabalho mais elaborado e maduro. O videoclipe de Do You Remember, um single desse álbum, está disponível no YouTube. A banda foi formada em 2022, em Belo Horizonte/MG/Brasil, e como o nome sugere, seu som está intrinsecamente ligado ao instrumento chamado cigar box guitar, um ancestral não muito distante da guitarra elétrica.

A banda foi formada por amigos com o objetivo de manter viva a chama do blues-rock em uma encarnação moderna, mas orgânica. Suas composições são hipnóticas, construídas em torno de riffs que transcendem a estrutura clássica do blues, mas sempre mostram absoluto respeito pelo espírito do delta desde suas origens.

O single A Lot Of Times é um excelente exemplo do poder de fogo da Cigar Box Band. Esta faixa de blues-rock cru foi gravada com uma arma secreta: uma cigar box guitar embutida em uma pá, produzindo um som que lembra uma motosserra. As letras são lamentos e reflexões espirituais sobre paixões não correspondidas. Viramos nossa cadeira de balanço em direção ao pôr do sol e soltamos nosso lamento pelos desafios desta vida
